I am a Master at Marine Rescue Hawkesbury and the current Deputy Unit Commander. I was a former Master,  Deputy Unit Commander and Membership Officer of Marine Rescue Port Jackson.

Volunteering for Coast Guard / Marine Rescue in conjunction with attending TAFE I am fully conversant with regulations relating to recreational boating and domestic commercial vessels in NSW.

While volunteering for Coast Guard / Marine Rescue (since 2008) I have extensive hours behind the helm and on deck assisting the recovery of vessels in various situations. I also have extensive knowledge of the Sydney Harbour and The Hawkesbury River.

Other commercial experience includes working on fishing vessels Kingfisher, Reef Runner, Brynda, A Team and Strike Back. Plus Water Taxi's Katie Louise & The Island Ferry both for The Island, River Explorer for Pearls Of Australia and Lakes Explorer for Big River Barges. I currently have over 3900 hours of Commercial Sea Time logged.

Over the last 16 years doing voluntary Coast Guard / Marine Rescue I have had to perform as a team member as well as a team lead. As a team leader I have had to train junior members in boating skills so that they may pass their required exams. Being certified as a TAE40116 Cert IV in Training and Assessment I am able to sign off on completed tasks required for certification.

My strength is my ability to communicate both in written and verbal form. I am able to write proposals, emails, essays, documents, training manuals, and complete service forms that are clear, concise, business oriented and appropriate to the needs of the reader.
